1. What is the min. age for boys to join the Indian army?
Ans - Candidate should be between 16 ½ to 19 years.

2. Can girls join the Indian army?
Ans - Yes, girls can join Indian Army after graduation from recognized university.

3. What is the min. age for girls to join the Indian army?
Ans - Girls should be graduate and upto 24 years. If she is Engineer, she can join upto 27 years of age. If she is LLB and more than 55% she can join upto 26 years of age.

4. What is the min. qualification to join NDA?
Ans - One should have 12th passed with any subject for Army and if he wants to join Air Force and Navy he must have passed with maths and physics.

5. I have completed my HSC(12th class). Can I join Indian Army?
Ans - Yes, you can join upto 19 years of age.

6. How can I become an army officer?
Ans - If you have passed 12th and your age is between 16½ to 19 years, Then you can apply on line for NDA exam. This exam is conducted twice in a year Apr and Sep. Notification is issued in Dec and Jun respectively. There are two papers Maths (300 marks-2½ hours)and General Eligibility Test(Part A – English-200 marks, and Part B-GK-400 marks). 9. I am a married male. Can I join Indian army?
Ans - Married female is not eligible to join in Army. But married male more than 25 years of age is eligible to join in Army. Below 25 years of age, male must be unmarried.

10. I am a married female. Can I join Indian army?
Ans - No, only unmarried female can join Indian Army.

11. I am a widow. Can I join Indian army?
Ans - No, only widow of soldier is eligible if she meets other criteria like education and age.

12. I have failed to clear the NDA. Can I reappear for NDA?
Ans - Yes, failed candidate can appear upto 19 years of age.

13. How many times can I appear for NDA?
Ans - You can appear upto 19 years of age.

14. How many times in a year NDA entrance exam is held?
Ans - Two times in a year NDA Enterance exam is conductedby UPSC that is in Apr and Sep.

15. What is the approx. salary of officer recruited after clearing NDA?
Ans - As per sixth Pay commission approx salary (including all allowances) is 75,000/- and after implementation of 7th pay commission it will be approx 1 lac.

16. What is the duration of the NDA course?
Ans - Three years academic training and one year military training.

17. Can I complete my graduation after NDA?
Ans - Yes, To complete graduation is a part of NDA training.

18. What is the procedure to join as an officer in Indian army?

20. Why should I join the Indian army?
Ans - To serve our nation with pride and dignity. To support peace keeping mission. There is huge unemployment problem in civil. And Pvt Companies exploit youth skilled manpower, To prevent myself from these unlikely activities of Pvt companies, I would like to join Indian Army, Navy or Air Force so that I can serve my country with pride and dignity and I am also ready to sacrifice myself for the country.

22. What are the different subjects to be prepared for NDA?
Ans - There are two papers, Mathematics-300 marks12th level and General Ability Test-600 marks(English-200 marks,GK-400 marks) In GK there are various subjects like history, Geography, Polity, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology & General Science, current events, Sports etc are required to be prepared.

23. What is the minimum percentage required in HSC to join NDA?
Ans - One should be simply pass in all subject of HSC. No specific percentage is required. Simply 12th passed student can fill up on line form. He has to show his performance in NDA written exam by doing hard work if he does know maths or English he has to attend coaching class.

24. What is the minimum percentage required to clear NDA?
Ans - It is competitive exam so no specific percentage is mentioned anywhere. However, previous years cut off marks indicates approx 370 & 380 out of 900 marks of both papers(Maths & GK). If one determines to get max marks, and even get 50% marks he will surely get success.

25. I am not an NCC cadet. Can I join the NDA?
Ans - Off course, you can join NDA without doing NCC training.

26. I am a NCC cadet. Will it benefit me in the NDA?
Ans - If you have passed Senior (College level)NCC "C" certificate with "A" or "B" grading You can apply through NCC Directorate and you will be called for SSB interview. 27. I have passed 12th with distinction. How can I join army?
Ans - The students who have got more than 70% marks in 12th, may apply for Technical Entry Scheme. He should not appear for NDA. As per last cut off marks for selection of Technical Entry Scheme was 83%. For more details contact on 079-27701146, Mob-9033241548.

28. Is there any negative marks for wrong answer in NDA exam?
Ans - Yes, for each wrong answer 1/3 marks will be deducted. So pl careful while giving answer. If you are not sure pl leave that question but don’t take risk. Maximum students do not get success due to negative marks.

29. Is there any short cut method to crack NDA exam?
Ans - No, there is no short cut except hard work for preparing all subjects judicialloy. If you know short tricks for maths, even though you need lot of practice.

30. Tricks for getting highest marks in maths in NDA exam?
Ans - Basically hard work and very much practice in solving various problems in maths are essential. Also good coaching class provides some tricks for speedy solution of maths problems.

31. Sir, I have failed twice in NDA, what should I do?
Ans - If you have determined to be an Army Officer, don’t be disappointed. Go ahead still you are of 19 years. You can apply for NDA upto 19 years.

32. Should I get coaching for NDA exam?
Ans - Its depend upon your strong will and firm determination to be an Army Officer. If you get good coaching, the money you spent for coaching is considered as an investment that will give you reward in future.

33. How many hours daily study is required for NDA?
Ans - Its depend upon your grasping ability. Students having strong for cracking NDA read minimum 9 to 10 hours daily.

34. I have passed 12th with commerce subjects and not with Maths and science. Am I eligible for NDA?
Ans - Yes, Students pass with any subject like arts, commerce or science can apply for NDA exam for Army Officer only. Those who wants to get entry in Navy and Air Force as an officer are required to pass 12th with Maths and Physics.

35. Sir, I am science student, I did well in maths and science in NDA exam, but I could not do well history and GK. What should I do for next trial?
Ans - It is seen that science students neglect GK aspect considering that they will do well in their like subject. They have to pay heavy for their negligence. They must do GK means – history, geography, polity, economics, current events too.
